Around 35 kilometers northeast of shenyang is the Magic slope. Discovered in 1990 it is about 80 meters long and 25 meters wide. The mystic about the place is to go downhill you have to use power while going uphill no power is needed.

Today the area is developed into a 9 square km rekreational area, with bushwalks, swimming areas, animal parks and a Budist temple.

How to get there.

Busses leave every morning from the west side of Shenyang city centre square, between 7:30 and 10 am.

Price for bus is 20rmb which include entry into the park. Additional tickets to other attractions like the monkey inclosure can be bought at the ticket counter, but can also be bought in the park.

It is well worth a day out and you can expect plenty of excersise. In spring and autumn it is wisely to bring warm clothes because the wind on the hill can be quite cold. You can bring a picnic hamper and have lunch in one of the many rest areas, or you can visit one of the restaurants in the area, which is reasonable priced.
